Posititive Review :
Garmin has a wide variety of models, which is a mixed blessing. You can probably find what model you want, but finding it takes a bit of effort. I decided Lifetime Map and Traffic updates made sense for the long haul - this model has it. I also bought the 5" display since I can see it better on the dash. Love the new features compared to my 3 year old Garmin, such as Lane Assist, Junction View, my speed displayed, speed limit displayed. Would have liked a case included.
Only complaint is that it is a bit tricky to disengage from the window holder while it is suctioned to the window. Garmin's tech support via email, was outstanding, with their response to a few of my start up questions. Recommended.
Negative Review :
This is one of the most disappointing purchases I've made in a long time. The product is beautiful. It's the perfect size and the hardware is much better than I expected, but the software is practically worthless. Once you program a destination into it and save it, there is no way to delete that single destination without deleting ALL previously chosen destinations, whether you save it as a favorite destination or a recently searched destination. It doesn't allow you to name a destination, i.e. Client #1, Restaurant #1, it only allows you to enter a street address and in the future you have to know the address you want to go to instead of simply naming it Client #1, etc... My purchase was a Model 1450LMT with lifetime maps and traffic. When I tried to register it, the website wanted to download pictures (why?) to my desktop. At first I rejected the download. After trying the registration process several times, I finally discovered you have to let their system download the pictures before you can proceed with the registration process. Bottom line, the hardware side is perfect, the software side is almost useless.
